What’s a Sigil?
A sigil is a sign, word, or object with occult power or magic. They are made with the intent to create a desired outcome, whether it be a loving or evil one.
As film graphic designers, we are tasked with developing original sigils that work with the script’s tone and genre. Sigils are a niche topic that are found in many traditions including the spiritual, occult, secret societies, witchcraft, Voodoo, Shamanism, European folk magic, Paganism, Druid, new age practices, governments, and in films that like to scare the audience.
